Stangers and Fiction during I Love West Leeds Festival

12pm - 4pm Sunday 19th July

Remember the Book Swap we did last year? Well it's back again as 'Strangers and Fiction' this year we are also stretching the swap theme to include eating stuff too! It just so happens that the 19th July is the date The Big Lunch is happening nationally, so we thought, 'darn it, let's have our cake, your cake and jolly well eat it too'

So picture the scene!

Interplay Theatre on Armley Ridge Road, you come along with your preloved books, and a tasty morsel to share, you set down your load and go off explore all the other fabulous titles donated by fellow swappers.

You find yourself a comfy pew, plonk your pile of books down and fetch your self a plate of yummy food. You may even get talking to someone new about the scrumptious food, and recommend great books to each other. 

Now an additional thing to bear in mind is that in October (4th) we will be back again with our Charming Armley Cake Competition only this time it's called Make, Bake & Rake. Alongside the usual cake comp there will be a new category or two! Home Brew and Preserves. So if you have any jars or want jam jars bring them along to the Strangers and Fiction event (cleaned please!)

Also please do bring any unwanted DIY books, Seeds, Scrap Material, Gardening tomes, Craft zines/books, & Sewing patterns along as they will form our Make Bake Rake section during the book swap.
