Last year we staged the first ever book swap day, and turned Interplay into a Starbucks with a difference, lush buns and cakes, real coffee, newspapers, chocolate fondue (in the romance section), fake blood (crime section) &.a real beach outside ( good beach read section) This year we would like you to bring your preloved books as before, and a yummy morsel or two to swap with fellow readers, as we are linking in with the national initiative The Big Lunch. The Big Lunch aims to get neighbours and communities breaking bread, having a laugh, being creative and getting to know each other better. You can read more if you click here
So we will create the ambience of a pretty cool place to hang out, all you need to do is bring a book and a dish!
Start time 12pm Finish 4pm
Interplay Theatre, Armley Ridge Road, Armley Leeds
grumpy, suggesting that
grumpy, suggesting that communities own their own infrastructure is nonsense. the capital outlay would be, extraordinary, considering the maitenance, repair, upkeep website design, depreciation, modernization of the infrasture, plus the lack of skilled workers who understand anything about the technology and then hiring people, paying their salaries, pensions and 401K’s , plus needing to interconnect and troubleshoot with other communities wireless internet service and states, etc. the only viable alternative would be to outsource to the very people who provide the current infrastructure now and then you’ve de facto increased your cost exponentially. get a grip and do some research before you mouth off. also internet phone service, do not be so quick to complain about companies who have developed and maintained what seems to be the only thing in America that ain’t broke. internet access
