The Lady Mayoress would like to apologise for her rather dreadful attendance record recently. What on earth is her excuse? Well it is rather sad, and predictable, she has had her head turned by the big metropolitan mothership Leeds. She was asked to contribute her time to this venture www.theculturevulture.co.uk by the two buxom cake baking ladies who run it, and has since been found using it as an excuse to hob knob with just about everyone. If ever there was a lady who liked to turn up to the ubiquitous opening of an envelope it is the Lady M!

West Leeds Festival is back again, and this year, as part of our endeavours we are back with our big book swap, but what's more we are going to tie it in with national community street party initiative the Big Lunch

Not only that we are going to tie it in with our newly rebranded Charming Armley Cake Competition (4th October)- now called Make, Bake & Rake and ask you to join us on July 19th with books, brunch, and jam jars! More on this later

Stephen Griffin the whipperish snapper who designed this website, has just finished his degree at Leeds Met Uni, well done Griff. He's gonna get a FIRST class degree, and we are chuffed that he did this site out of LOVE! (more or less)
